Blogging and Raz-Kids
In reading workshop today I introduced Raz-Kids. This is a site your child will visit in school at least once a week. Please encourage your child to use it at home too. It is a great site with hundreds of e-books that your child can read and listen to. The reading comprehension quizzes are a valuable tool to check in to see if your child understands everything they are reading. The family letter is being sent home today with your child's login information and password. Happy reading!

Morning Meeting Activities
Our Morning Meeting is done first thing in the morning, and this time is vital in setting the tone for the day. It’s when we check in with each other, greet each other, and build our classroom community. Each child has a specific share day where they can share something in their life and take 2 questions or comments from members of our classroom.

Self-Portrait Art
As part of our Responsive Classroom Curriculum and The First Six Weeks of School we do many getting to know you activities. Students are working on self-portraits, name plates, and will do a writing piece to describe themselves. Here are some photos of our art work.
