Write Around the Room Review

This is the second Write the Room Review we have done this year.  The students search for cards with words that match the clue.  For example, find a word that has 3 syllables, a word that is a collective noun, and a past tense verb.  It is fun and the kids LOVE it!

UMS Champ T-shirts

Dear Second Grade Families,

UMS Field Day is scheduled for June 8^th at Airport Park.  We would like to have all second grade students wear their ‘UMS Champ’ t-shirt to the park that day.  We are hoping that between now and Friday, May 29^th you could send your child’s t-shirt to school so that we may have students sign their names on each other’s shirts.  We will hold their t-shirt at school and then hand them out to students the morning of field day.  The shirts for this school year are white.

Spirit Week - May 18-22nd

Next week is Spirit Week at UMS.  The schedule is as follows:

Monday - Hat Day
Tuesday - Favorite T-Shirt Day
Wednesday - School Colors Day
Thursday - "Fill a Bucket Day"
Friday - Pajama Day/Picnic Lunch (Our class may bring a small stuffed animal to school)
