Let's Read a Clock

In math students are learning to read a clock.  We are telling time to the nearest hour and half hour.  Ask your child what hand to look at first when telling time!  Please practice telling time with your child over vacation.  Happy Thanksgiving!

Library Visit

Last Friday we walked to The Burnham Memorial Library for reading workshop. Students enjoyed a story and checked out a book. Thank you to Hannah and Pam for a great visit!

Balance and Motion

Students experimented with counterweights to balance a pencil on its point! They did not give up!

Math Review

Students are reviewing math skills during morning meeting time.  We are getting better at "explaining" our thinking.

We are studying Balance and Motion in 2nd grade. We found the balance point with a bird during our greeting this morning.
