Sunshine and Fun!

It is finally sunny and nice outside!  We got to enjoy it for a bit this morning.  This crew made a lot of sandcastles!  Check it out below:

Author/Illustrator Visit

Abbie Bowker from Williston joined us for two days to discuss her Woolly Bear Winter Book.

Plant Unit

Students had the opportunity to "dissect" a plant to observe the different parts.  They were so excited to take a close look using the magnifying glasses.  Science is FUN!!

Mystery Number Skype

Yesterday, our class did our first Mystery Number Skype.  During the skype we try to guess their number by asking yes/no questions.  Then, the other class asks us questions to guess our mystery number.  This was a lot of fun!  The BEST part was we did it with Noor's class.  We miss Noor so much!

Main Idea

Yesterday in reading we read the book Dog Breath by Dav Pilkey.  Today we identified and discussed the main idea with supporting details.  We made this awesome art activity to support our learning.  RI.2.2
