Nonfiction Books


Today we kicked off our nonfiction unit in reading workshop.  We noticed nonfiction books have the following:

They have true facts.  (Mazie)
There are pictures with labels. (Adam)
It has a Table of Contents.  (Longshore)
Based on one thing. (Addie)
Do not have characters. (Ira)
Tell you fun facts.  (Zoe)
The books have fast facts. (Joshua)
All true. (Ava)
Some books are about cars and animals.  (Hunter)
Some have fun jokes. (Vito)
Some books have maps showing where the animal lives.  (Sydney)
Teach you about history.  (Mackenzie)
Real pictures.  (Riley)
The books explain what animals eat.  (Kiernan)
Some animals hunt for other animals.  (Addyson)
Some live on land and some in water.  (Madison)
